Dr. Adebanke Owolewa

Dr. Adebanke Owolewa, known simply as Dr. Ade to her patients and friends, has a rare combination of experience to best service her patients. Prior to her obtaining a Doctorate in Optometry, she worked as an Optician for over 10 years. Her background gives her a full-scope understanding of her patients’ visual and optical needs. Dr. Ade obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry at Howard University and her doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry (NECO). Dr. Ade has extensive clinical experience within the VA systems in Boston and Providence, as well as Boston’s community health centers and several private practice settings. Dr. Ade is a recipient of multiple awards, such as Dr. Marvin R. Poston Leadership & Service Award and Scholarship, NECO Innovation Competition People’s Choice Award, which reflects the distinctive insight and expertise she brings to modern eyecare.

Dr. Ade has a particular passion for treating dry eye, and she is trained and certified in Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Radiofrequency (RF) therapies, providing advanced, state‑of‑the‑art options for patients dealing with dry eye symptoms.

Additionally, Dr. Ade is widely recognized for her warm personality, meticulous approach, and natural talent for connecting with people from all walks of life. In her free time, she loves taking long strolls with her poodle and spending time in the water with her young family.
