Dr. Fatouraei (known as Dr. Fatour) received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics from the University of Houston, TX, and her doctorate degree from MCPHS College of Optometry in Worcester, MA. In addition to her clinical experience at private practices, she completed rotations at the VA hospital and community health centers which prepared her for providing the best quality of optometric care with comprehensive eye exams with an emphasis on diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular pathologies.
Dr. Fatouraei has a passion for Optometry because it gives her the opportunity to connect with different populations and age groups and establish a long-term relationships.
Dr. Fatouraei provides detailed comprehensive and medical eye exams. She is certified to treat glaucoma and manage myopia progression using MiSight technology. Her areas of specific interest include a wide variety of anterior and posterior segment conditions including dry eye, keratoconus, myopia management as well as various retinal pathologies such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and glaucoma among others. She enjoys incorporating clinical research to provide the best and most up-to-date care for her patients. Dr. Fatouraei was involved in several research projects at UMASS Medical School under Dr. Hemant Khanna, Ph.D.
Dr. Fatouraei is a mom to two talented children and a Golden Retriever. She is fluent in Farsi and Azeri/Turkish.
During her free time, she enjoys reading human psychology, hiking, and shopping.
